I’ve been with Melissa 20 years and consider her ‘tops’ as a trainer. She’s everything for her clients – knowledgeable, encouraging and most of all, accommodating. —Florence


For years, Florence began her workout at 6:30 a.m. Now that she’s retired, she lets the rest of the city tackle the crowded commute, choosing mid-morning to start her routine. Florence is diligently committed, rain or shine, three times a week to an exercise program and a trainer that she dearly loves.

The dedicated senior’s one-on-one workout has not only helped her rebound from a heart condition but amazingly, gain a healthier heart – “10% healthier” she learned at her recent doctor’s visit.

Commitment, however, often has a price. “I drive a long way, almost 20 miles ,” says Florence, “but the trip is worth it.”

“ A lot of people do crazy things to make them happy,” says the active senior. “I just happen to enjoy doing what I do - working out for 45 minutes to an hour, three times a week. Metamorphocise is a really good place, a very clean place. Believe me, I wouldn’t go anywhere else.”

Getting to Metamorphocise is enjoyable for Sylvia, a short two-block walk. Starting a workout at 6:30 a.m. isn’t quite as appealing. The businesswoman, who had struggled with weight loss for several years, backsliding with quick fixes and plans, has finally found a place and a trainer that works.

How it all works together – the cardio, the food, the exercise – was an education both mentally and physically.
